Gweru was plunged into shock and grief on Wednesday afternoon after a woman from Bulawayo reportedly threw herself under a moving haulage truck at the bustling intersection of Lobengula Avenue and 8th Street. The tragic incident, which unfolded in full view of stunned bystanders, brought traffic to a standstill and left many Gweru residents visibly shaken.
According to eyewitnesses, the unidentified woman appeared highly distressed moments before the fatal event.
