South African actor Thembinkosi Mthembu has landed a new acting gig! Thembinkosi, who played the role of Mabutho on The River, told the publication that he is excited about his latest gig on Adulting.
The actor from Durban said many people are going to experience a different side of him.
Thembinkosi said he will be playing the role of Bonga on Adulting, which follows four male friends on their journey to find love and success in the city of gold.
“Bonga loves women a lot and they also love him back as well. I hope viewers will enjoy the performance I have put on,” Thembinkosi said.
The show will premiere on Showmax on 20 March, with new episodes every Monday. It will feature the likes of Amapiano producers Major League DJz and singer Boohle.
The actor said he loved everything about the shooting of this show as the producers allowed them to be themselves.
“It was fun and very interesting. Working alongside some of Mzansi’s greatest actors was great,” he said.
Thembinkosi said they were told to be themselves and be creative.
“This was the show I was always looking forward to. It’s all about entertainment and music,” he said.
When asked what his wishes are, the actor said he would like to put his brand out there as he was very scarce on his social media platforms.
Thembinkosi said his wish is to work with other brands for his own growth in the entertainment industry.
“I would love to work with other brands, especially for sports. I love exercising and looking good.
His message to young talents is that they must go all out for what they love.
“Be disciplined and never give up. Always put your mind to what you love,” Thembinkosi said.
