Zimdancehall legend Winky D real name Wallace Chirumiko yesterday won the Best African Dancehall Entertainer at the illustrious 40th International Ragge and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) ceremony held in Kingston, Jamaica.
In an intense face-off with an impressive roster of contenders such as Nigeria’s Patoranking, Ghana’s Shatta Wale and Stone Bwoy, as well as Sierra Leone’s Star Zee, it was Winky D’s exceptional talent that ultimately emerged victorious, earning him the highly coveted title of Best African Dancehall Entertainer at the esteemed International Ragge and World Music Awards.
Taking to social media to announce and celebrate the wing Winky D thanked hi fans for the support and love they keep showing him.

This win comes after he dropped his latest project, Eureka Eureka, which has been sending shockwaves across the country and dividing the nation into camps with its “political overtones.”
