Johannesburg South Africa experienced an earthquake with no damages, it was hit with a 5.0 magnitude earthquake early Sunday morning.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the tremor struck at 2:38 am (0038 GMT) around 10 kilometers (six miles) below the surface.
Some of the people who experienced the quake shared thoughts and video clips on social media.
In August 2014, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit a gold mining town near Johannesburg.
However, it was reported that no damages were recorded.
The last major quake to hit South Africa was a 6.3-magnitude tremor that struck the Western Cape province in 1969.
