Warriors Trey Nyoni signs first professional contract with Liverpool

Trey Nyoni, a promising young talent from the Warriors, has officially signed his first professional contract with English Premier League giants Liverpool. The 17-year-old midfielder joined Liverpool’s development side last September after moving from Leicester City.

Since joining The Reds, Nyoni made a significant impact in the junior ranks, which led to his call-up to the senior team under manager Jürgen Klopp. He made his debut in the FA Cup against Southampton earlier this year, showcasing his potential on a prominent stage. Following that debut, he became a regular presence on the bench for Klopp, who praised him as one of the best midfielders in the making at Liverpool after the team clinched the 2024 Carabao Cup.

With Klopp’s recent departure, Nyoni remains one of the few young talents retained by new Liverpool coach Arne Slot for the pre-season tour in the United States. During the tour, Nyoni shone brightly, scoring in a friendly match against Sevilla, further solidifying his reputation as an emerging star.

In addition to his club achievements, Nyoni has earned a cap with England’s under-18 national team and was entrusted with the captaincy of Liverpool’s under-19 team in their recent match against AC Milan. His exceptional talent and leadership qualities suggest a bright future ahead as he continues to develop within one of the world’s top football clubs.
