Fans worried after Babes Wodumo’s poor performance

She used to blow minds, getting her fans jumping up and down with joy and excitement with her stunning and full-energy performance.

But on Sunday, 27 November Babes Wodumo (28) left her fans wondering about her health after she left the stage without completing even a single song.

Performing at the recent Dladla Mshunqisi’s Usuku Lomshunqo show at Wiseman Car Wash in KwaMashu, Durban, fans noticed that she was nowhere near her best.

Dubbed Queen of Ggom, Babes, real name Bongekile Simelane, was billed to be the headliner at the event.

Fans said Babes couldn’t dance and was off-tune and left without performing the first song.

Her management insists she is fine.

Babes’s manager and sister, Nondumiso Simelane, said sometimes the singer gets exhausted because of the duties of being a mother, a wife, and an artist.

“Babes is working hard and being a mother for the first time is not easy for her. She’s perfectly fine. On that day, she had worked hard and was extremely tired during her performance.

“Other than that, there’s nothing wrong with her,” Nondumiso said.

In September, Babes made headlines, giving clarity on the reason of her weight loss.

After fans commented on her slim body, she revealed she lost a lot of weight after giving birth.

She said she didn’t like it when people accused her of being sick or taking drugs.
