The deaths of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, and friend and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Mostoane have left the country reeling from the tragic news.

As the matter of AKA’s passing was confirmed, it was since revealed and confirmed that friend and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Molestane was also a casualty during the shooting.

A video of the attending officer on the scene shares more light as to what happened during the shooting. It is reported that AKA and Tibz, who was mistaken for his security intel, were having dinner in Morningside, Durban. As they were leaving the restaurant to head to their car that was when two unknown gunmen shot and instantly killed AKA and Tibz.

As the public starts to realize the implications of AKA’s passing on his loved ones. Fans have been worried about the mental state of his girlfriend and fellow rapper, Nadia Nakai.

Nadia Nakai and AKA have been a couple for over two years. While the start of their relationship was met with some drama, the two proved that love wins over everything as the past few months they gave couple goals. Therefore, when it was confirmed that AKA is no more, the public worried about Nadia.

From her stories, Nadia was attending the birthday party of Y.FM DJ Ayanda MVP in Johannesburg. However, as the news of AKA’s passing started to go viral, it is alleged that Nadia had to be rushed out of the birthday celebrations as she was starting to mourn the passing of her boyfriend.

Since then the rapper has been off social media. Just days ago, the two were “couple goals” as they continued to love each other loudly and boldly as reported at the time:

“Happy Birthday, my baby! I love you so much!! You protect me so much! And lift me up… I learn so much from you every day!!!! And have theeee most fun with you!!! I’m so proud of you!!!!! You’re my blessing!” gushed Nadia.

AKA gave a tongue-in-cheek response and asked Nadia, “Are you PRADA me?”

The couple just enjoyed a vacation with family at the Palace, Lost City in Sun City beofre jetting off to the United States to enjoy some time away in Ohio and California. It is also speculated that AKA’s next album, Mass Country is dedicated to Nadia.

A few months back, AKA gushed over Nadia in an interview with Drum magazine. “I am in a fantastic place. Love is in the air. Nadia and I have been together for about a year and just enjoying each other, ” he was quoted saying.
