K.O loses BET award

K.O joins other South Africans to lose at the 2023 BET Awards held on the 26th of June, 2023. The rapper attended the prestigious event as he was nominated for the Best International Act but the category was won by Nigerian star, Burna Boy.

This is Mr CashTime’s first BET nomination, labeled a win despite losing. He was nominated alongside, Burna Boy, Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, Uncle Waffles, L7nnon, Stormzy, and Tiakola.

Speaking of another award loss in the year 2023, K.O bagged the highest number of nominations at this year’s Metro FM Music Awards but returned home with zero wins.

The incident left many jaws dropping as it was presumed that his hit single, Sete did massive numbers. However, he isn’t depressed by the loss, but working on growing his brand beyond SA borders.

Paballo Basetsana Mothapo, famously known as Pabi Cooper returned home with no win from the BET Awards 2023. The South African performer was at the prestigious American event alongside K.O. and Uncle Waffles.
