A few weeks after announcing the birth of her second son via an Instagram story, Mphowabadimo has opened up about her pregnancy journey and motherhood.
During a diary session on her YouTube channel, the Big Brother Mzansi season 3 winner reflected on being sick throughout her first trimester and feeling alone before moving home to her family and getting a doula for support.
“When the pregnancy started, it was not an easy time. It was not a joyous time. But I think me coming home was the perfect thing because it made me focus on my pregnancy, it made me focus on my baby and that is when I started to look at things differently,” she said.
“There were so many instances where I felt like I was going to have a premature birth because of the stress I suffered in the first trimester of my pregnancy. I was going through it.”
After having a safe birth, Mphowabadimo said she is grateful for life and is enjoying motherhood.
“Every pregnancy has taken me on a journey of its own. And with this pregnancy, above everything else, I experienced a lot of growth. I went through so many things that shaped the woman you see today. Motherhood is priceless. I enjoy every moment.”
While she might have two children from different fathers, Mphowabadimo said she wants to make sure she raises them happy.
“I don’t want to raise my children as a broken parent. I want to raise them as a happy, healthy, free and strong woman that I am. I am not a single mother. I am a boy mom to two amazing boys.”
Mphowabadimo said she was looking to reward herself after her pregnancy and was considering getting a Brazilian butt lift.
“I don’t see myself having the time to work out. I don’t want to lie, I’m not a fitness bunny. So my quickest thinking was that I deserve a mommy makeover. So that is my push gift. I feel I deserve a BBL. I didn’t gain much. I didn’t lose much weight, but why [can’t I] look like a dream?”
