Maskandi star Khuzani Mpungose has not been able to attend events due to his ill health. According to Sunday World, sources close to the singer disclosed his health status.
According to Sunday World, the musician has received a deposit for his performance at Mid Illovo on Saturday.
Khuzani’s right hand man, Mthokozisi Zuma confirmed that he is indeed battling illness.
“I can confirm that he was booked [for an event at the weekend],” Zuma shared.
“He’d been communicating with Bhaka’s team and he was looking forward to the event.”
“Unfortunately, he fell sick and he was forced to cancel the gig. Initially, he didn’t think much of it and he continued with the preparations.”
“However, on Friday he became worse and it was clear that he wouldn’t be able to get on the stage and perform.”
“He cancelled Bhaka’s event. He is still not well but he is stable. We would like to apologise on his behalf for not attending the event.
The nature of the illness remains undisclosed, but Sunday World revealed that the deposit was refunded to the organisers of the event.
