AKA’s highly anticipated latest album, “Mass Country,” is due for release as planned. Kiernan Jarryd Forbes’ (AKA) family confirms the release after the rapper and Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane was tragically gunned down outside a Durban restaurant on Friday night, 10 February. Since the slain hip-hop artist’s death, social media was a flood of conspiracy theories, and fans also speculated about the release of his upcoming album.

Earlier today, AKA’s family released a statement confirming his latest album, “Mass Country” will be dropped as planned. The family continues to celebrate the life of their son. To honour his legacy, they are choosing to continue with the release of the Mass Country album on 24 February 2023 as planned,” the statement reads.

“In the last two years Mass Country has become AKA’s entire world. The Supa Mega constantly kept the album release momentum and anticipation high.”

According to Nivo, manager and co-executive producer on the project, AKA put his “heart and soul” into the project.

The rapper also had the “opportunity to map out this entire roll-out and approve all the elements,” he continues. As per Kiernan’s wishes, the next single release will be ‘Company’ alongside longtime collaborator and friend Kiddominant, scheduled for release this Friday” the statement continues. The single was recorded in Los Angeles during his January holiday,” it concludes.
