Nominees for the prestigious Nigerian Awards, Headies were announced last week. The annual award features South African artists annually, under the Best South African Artist of the Year category.
Uncle Waffles represented SA in the category despite being nominated as a citizen of Swaziland over the past months.
Nasty C, Focalistic, the late rappers – Costa Titch, and AKA were also part of the category.
DJ Tarico from Mozambique is the only non-South African in the category.

These South African artists are doing great well in the music industry and they’ve penetrated the international scene.
Uncle Waffles, Nasty C and Focalistic have been performing at international gigs and they tour other countries. AKA and Costa are dead, but their music still speak.

Kaya FM reveals why Dineo Ranaka was sacked. A few weeks ago, it was announced that the radio station fired her following her struggle with suicidal thoughts.
In June, Dineo was diagnosed with severe chronic depression and the radio station admitted her into a medical health institution. However, it was reported that Kaya couldn’t reach her after trying to help with her health issue which they initially heard on her social media account. Read More
