Wicknell Chivhayo blesses Gweru rally dancing supporter with US$2000

Businessman sir Wicknell Chivhayo has fulfilled his promise by giving US$2000 to the elderly Zanu Pf supporter who caught the attention of many with his dances at the Gweru rally during the election campaign.

Chivhayo was no exception to those thrilled by this old man’s move and he promised a fortune to turn around the man’s life. In a tweet, he wrote:

Kune avo vari ku Conference kwedu ku Gweru pakaitawo anosangana ne Mudhara wedu uyu ndiri kuva tsvaga. Ndinoda kuvapa 2000 usd ndova cherera chibhorani ndo vatengera ne chigayo. If we don’t recognize and acknowledge Jive yaka dai tinenge tarashika se vana ve musangano we vanhu.

Today he has fulfilled the promise by handing over the cash to the man. Chivhayo has also expressed the same gesture to several individuals including the Vharazipi acting crew.

In other news – Cholera cases rise in Zimbabwe

The number of cholera cases in Zimbabwe continues to rise, with over 5,000 reported cases and 120 suspected deaths, despite the government’s efforts to control the outbreak.

According to the latest situational report from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, there have been 64 new suspected cases and 43 confirmed deaths. These cases have been recorded in various regions, including Chitungwiza (29), Buhera (18), Masvingo (8), Gutu (4), Mutare (3), and Bikita (2).
