A 61-year-old Plumtree man has been dragged to court after he bashed his girlfriend whom he accused of cheating. Mark Lloyd was sentenced to six months in jail by Magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
He was lucky to escape jail after the magistrate wholly suspended the sentence on good behaviour.
Prosecutors told the court that on October 21 the convict had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend Mthandeni Ndlovu whom he accused of cheating him with Jabulani Ndebele.
Ndebele and Lloyd clashed over Ndebele and were refrained by Ndebele.
After the men’s fight Lloyd turned to his girlfriend and assaulted her all over the body with a plastic chair.

Gospel artist Ivy Kombo and her husband, Pastor Admire Kasi, have been apprehended for the fraudulent acquisition of counterfeit certificates enabling them to practice law in Zimbabwe, despite having acquired Bachelor of Laws degrees in England.
