Somizi Mhlongo speaks about working as a judge on Idols SA

Somizi Mhlongo opens up about his 9 years on Idols SA as a judge. The media personality was part of the show from its inception in South Africa till the 19th season which is the final. Taking to social media, Som shared a video where he talked about how he had an amazing experience working on the show. My Journey on South African Idols when I started 9 years ago… I can boldly stand on a mountain and say Idols is the only place I have worked for 9 years, and I can boldly say it was a non-toxic environment,” he said.

“That place was heaven. I had the best experience in a working environment in that place. From the crew, I have never seen a place where everyone is happy to be there. From the guys who does my mic, the ladies who does the makeup, and everyone else. From the drivers to the security to the producers, to everybody guys, that environment was amazing,” Som added.

He also revealed that Idols SA made him more famous and a superstar. For me personally, When i joined Idols, I was famous, but I became a superstar because of Idols.
